Pro Lathe Gauge

The Pro Lathe Gauge quickly and accurately sets cutting tools to spindle centerline. Correct tool height is essential for lathe performance, affecting surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and thread quality. Threading tools, in particular, must be positioned on center to produce accurate thread geometry and consistent cutting action.

The gauge mounts directly in a chuck or collet and uses a precision level and rotating shaft assembly to indicate centerline. Its hands-free design allows both hands to remain available for tool adjustments. The adjustable level housing compensates for machines that are not perfectly leveled, while the recessed body provides clearance for boring bars.
