Assembly Options for Your Tormach Machine
Tormach provides flexible assembly options to suit your preferences and capabilities. Here's a breakdown of each:
1. Self Assembly
Ideal for those with mechanical experience and a desire to learn. You'll receive your machine in a disassembled state, and assemble it by following detailed manuals and video guides. This option affords the opportunity to understand the inner workings of your machine and customize the assembly process to your needs. However, it requires time, tools, and a suitable workspace. Recommended for users with mechanical experience and confidence using standard shop tools.
2. Factory Assembly
With the latest Tormach machines, factory assembly is available as an option. Major components are installed and prepared at our facility so your machine arrives in a near-ready state, helping you get set up faster. Final assembly, leveling, alignment, and commissioning are completed by the customer at their shop.
3. Premium Assembly
For a more streamlined setup, Tormach offers premium assembly services. Machines are fully assembled, aligned, and tested at our facility before shipping. This ensures that your machine arrives ready to use, minimizing setup time on your end. While this service incurs an additional fee, it provides peace of mind and a quicker path to operational readiness. To learn more visit our Assembly Services page.
4. On-Site Installation
For comprehensive support, Tormach professional technicians can travel to your location for on-site installation. This service includes complete assembly, leveling, alignment, system inspection, and performance verification, with the additional option for on-site training while the technician is on location. It’s an excellent choice for businesses or educational institutions that prefer expert assistance to ensure optimal machine setup and operation. Please note that this service is subject to availability and additional fees. To learn more about pricing, visit our on-site Installation page.

SHIPPING INFORMATION
All machines are shipped via LTL (less-than-truckload) freight. A flat-rate shipping fee is available for addresses within the contiguous United States. For locations outside the continental U.S., shipping is quoted based on your specific destination.
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipment confirmation email containing your tracking number(s), which will be active within 24 hours. For residential deliveries, the carrier will typically contact you to schedule delivery; commercial customers may contact the carrier directly if a specific delivery date or time is required.
For full details, including exclusions, processing times, alternate shipping options, and international shipping information, please visit our Shipping Policy Page.
Note: The 1500MX self-assembled configuration is excluded from flat-rate shipping and requires a custom shipping quote.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON DELIVERY DAY
Your Tormach machine may arrive in multiple crates, typically for the machine, stand, and accessories, and will be delivered by a freight carrier. Before delivery, ensure there is a clear path to your shop and that you have the necessary equipment available, such as a forklift, pallet jack, or engine hoist. If you do not have the required equipment, we recommend renting equipment or hiring a rigging company.
Residential deliveries are curbside and end where your driveway meets the road. If this does not meet your needs, please indicate that garage delivery or box truck delivery is required when requesting a quote. These options can be quoted when applicable.
Commercial deliveries are made during normal business hours. Please specify at the time of ordering if liftgate service is required.
When your shipment arrives, do not sign the delivery receipt until all crates have been safely unloaded and inspected. Note any visible damage or shortages on the receipt with as much detail as possible, and write “subject to further inspection” if needed. Be sure to take photos of any damage.
If the shipment is severely damaged or unsafe to move, refuse delivery. If a signature is required, write “shipment damaged and refused” before signing. After documenting the issue, contact Tormach and the carrier to begin the claims process. For full details, please, visit our Terms and Conditions Page.
